MET Christmas Tasting: Yule Log
After starting to lose hope that Christmas was more about tradition that nice food, faith was restored with the chocolaty heaven of the traditional Yule Log. It was our closest race yet with our Christmas taste testing, with only two points splitting the top three contenders.
There were 7 taste testers scoring each area out of 10, with a total across the three categories being 210.
And The Winner Is….
Tesco – Yule Log
A second victory for Tesco this week, and again by just one point. Texture and filling was this Yule Log’s strength and this made all the difference. As Murray noted, this particular winner was ‘nice and creamy’.
A worthy runner up from….
Sainsbury’s, closely followed by M&S
Sainsbury’s offering just fell a bit short on taste, whereas M&S was just a bit too rustic for our tasting judges.
