Social Media & PR Manager - Yorkshire

This is a unique opportunity to become Social Media & PR Manager for a legendary FMCG brand highly popular particularly with young adults. You'll own all elements of social media covering brand led and campaign driven activity across both organic and paid channels. You'll manage a highly engaged and uber creative agency to deliver campaigns and will have a strong commercial acumen and know when and how to use media spend to it's best effect. Alongside the ownership of social to an audience of millions you'll also take the lead in managing PR. This could cover influencer marketing, new drops, event attendance and product placement all focused on consumer audiences.

To be considered it is critical that you are a passionate self-starter, who loves owning social strategy and have a proven ability to manage media spend and operate at a commercial level as well as being creative in your thinking.

The Role:

• Manage all aspects of Social Media through both a hands on delivery as required and through continual management of agency relations.
• Build on and grow a community of fans across social and deliver engaging activity which keeps the brand front of mind.
• Develop and oversee social media and PR calendar for planned activity whilst being able to quickly react to day-to-day topics of consumer interest.
• Monitor and report on social campaign success and allocate budget to deliver numbers through media activity.
• Own and grow a status as a brand of choice with a focus on the youth market.

The Person:

• Driven, energetic and passionate enthusiasm for marketing and social media management.
• Expert in social media with a consumer audience and an understanding of and ideally experience in PR (digital or traditional).
• Experienced managing agency relationships across social creative and media.
• Strong understanding of cost structures and media in social campaigns and managed significant budgets.
• Experience within an FMCG, retail or similarly popular consumer branded company would be perfect.

The Location & Flexibility:

This Social Media Manager job offers hybrid working with 2-3 days per week typically in the Leeds office and occasional visits to London and elsewhere. The office is easily commutable on public transport making the Social Media & PR Manager job accessible from Manchester, York, Harrogate, Sheffield and surrounding cities across Yorkshire.
