The Company Lead Tech are one of the fastest growing tech businesses in the North. With a recently launched vision of "connecting people to make better choices for them and the planet" they are transforming into a business for good with sustainability at the core. As part of this process, they are working towards a B-corp status. Their technology and services are used by financial firms across the UK to help drive new customers and support consumers in accessing the best advice and service for their needs. Having nearly doubled turnover in the last 3 years from £4million in 2016 to almost £7million in 2021 and with plans in place to expand both in new products and into new territories this position will lead to an enviable range of opportunities and experience. The Team: Working closely with the board this role will report directly to the Managing Director and will take responsibility for a team of predominantly digitally focused marketers. The team includes PPC, Social Media, SEO, Content, CRO, Brand and more which you will develop the strategy for and oversee delivery of. You'll be given autonomy for the development and delivery of the marketing strategy including budgetary responsibility for over £5million media spend. As a senior leader you'll be commercially astute with confidence reporting on results and data on a regular basis and revisiting plans and strategy to adapt to changing market needs. Everyone in the team is highly capable in their specific channels and the team and business culture is one of trust and support. This is an exciting opportunity to build out a world-class marketing function and support an existing team through a transition and growth period.   You'll additionally have close working relationships with a range of martech providers and will continually identify opportunities to optimise the technology in place to keep ahead of the market. The Role:
  • Be a thought leader for Marketing within Lead Tech and work with the wider leadership team to develop overall business strategy.
  • Drive departmental vision and create and execute strategy to drive customer acquisition through multiple digital channels.
  • Own marketing budget of £5million + and provide expertise and guidance to managers across PPC, SEO, email, social and further acquisition channels.
  • Implement brand strategy across all B2C brands and work closely with people team developing employer brand strategy.
  • Brief and manage 3rd party relationships and identify new opportunities to optimise marketing channels and performance.
  • Manage team performance and present ROI using meaningful KPI's.
The Person:
  • Marketing leader with experience heading a department, owning strategy and budgets.
  • Responsible for owning the reporting and confidence in leveraging insights from marketing data to deliver performance improvements.
  • Confident leading digital acquisition channels and setting strategy and vision across PPC, SEO, Email, Social Media and any additional methods identified.
  • A forward thinking, visionary with a passion for being best in class and ability to drive internal engagement.
  • Strong understanding driving brand through digital and enhancing employer value proposition.
The Location & Flexibility The business operates a flexible working culture with hybrid working arrangements. As standard you'll be in the office 3 days per week with the remaining time remote based. When in the office you'll have riverside, country views from the state-of-the-art offices in Otley at LS21 1FD. You'll have free parking and easily accessible from Leeds, Wetherby, Harrogate, Bradford, Skipton and other Yorkshire locations. A car is likely to be required for your commuting.
