MET are now looking to recruit a Consumer Marketing Manager for a leading FMCG business in West Yorkshire. The main focus on the role is to lead the development and creation of marketing campaigns under the agreed marketing strategy plans and objectives, to build brand awareness, credibility, relevance and engagement with the primary target audiences across the UK (and within selected export markets when relevant.)


The Role:

Development and delivery of consumer marketing initiatives

-Creation of the consumer brand plan from the overarching brand strategy.
-Market research and benchmarking of target markets, analysis of company products and in particular digital and social channels in relation to competitors.
-Working closely with external advertising and design agencies and spearheading exciting and effective campaigns using consumer insights as a guide and to inspire high quality creative to reflect the brand proposition and personality.
-Seek out new marketing opportunities that fit with the brand and maximising all opportunities to support awareness and distribution growth.

Planning and Management

-Work alongside key stakeholders across external agencies account handling, PR and digital teams to ensure a coordinated approach to all brand activity.
-Support in booking of consumer media plans with media buying agency as required.
-Developing high quality and effective marketing materials that align correctly with the overall brand strategy.
-Monthly reviews of campaigns and presenting to wider team as required.
-Managing campaign activity with external agencies and ensuring marketing budgets are met.


Development of consumer and product communications

-You will work alongside the Product Manager and will be responsible for effectively managing the daily interface with the advertising agency to support the development and creation of the projects from briefing to campaign communications creation.
-Championing the brand internally making sure everyone in the company understands the brand and its goals and the associated programmes of work.

Delivery and maintenance of consumer digital activity

-Digital activity - Manage monthly sign off of brands presence Twitter, Facebook plus other new channels that may come on board e.g Instagram
-Support and delivery of the consumer website, taking responsibility for content updates as required and ensuring that feeds are up to date and relevant.
-Monitor digital data content provided and communicate key stats to wider teams within the business and provide clear recommendations.

-Commercial acumen
-Good negotiation skills
-Team player

In order to be considered for this role you MUST have had extensive experience in a consumer branded environment and have a strong Digital background.


This Marketing Manager job is commutable from Leeds, Harrogate, Bradford, Sheffield, Huddersfield and York.
